The Aston Martin DBRS9 was heavily upgraded in 2009, and became one of the dominant forces on the international GT3 scene. In the FIA GT3 Championship, it claimed four pole positions and three race victories, with the top DBRS9 driver pairing finishing 2nd overall in the Championship. Barwell’s 2009 DBRS9 also claimed three pole positions in the Belgian GT series and challenged for GT3 victory in the Spa 24 Hours race. All Barwell DBRS9s enjoyed 100% mechanical reliability during the 2009 race season.
