Barwell set to continue with two Black Bull Lamborghinis in 2024

17 October 2023 Barwell set to continue with two Black Bull Lamborghinis in 2024

Team seeks suitable Bronze grade drivers for Black Bull-supported Huracan GT3 seat

Multiple Intelligent Money British GT Championship title-winning team Barwell Motorsport will be continuing in the series next year and will once again be fielding its two Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2s in the stunning livery of team backer Black Bull Scotch Whisky, who are stepping up their involvement going forward.

Barwell has been the most successful team in British GT since it joined the championship in 2006, and in 2023 has continued an unbroken 12-year series race-winning run that stretches all the way back to 2012, whilst taking back-to-back overall Drivers and Teams titles in 2020 and 2021.

With the new-for-2023 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2 now a fully developed proposition, the team is now in the perfect position to recapture its British crowns in 2024 and as always wants to have strong driver line-ups in both of its cars. With the drivers of our current #72 BGT car - Mark Sansom and Will Tregurtha - looking to move across into European competition with us next season, Barwell is keen to speak to suitable Bronze-graded drivers regarding this opportunity available in our British GT squad. This includes the team providing a budget subsidy from team sponsor Black Bull, as well as support from Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Interested parties should contact Chris Needell on 01372 457788 / 07860 633971 / chris@barwellmotorsport.co.uk.
Mark Lemmer, Barwell Motorsport Team Principal“Although the costs of competing in motorsport at the highest level are currently still on the rise, our increased support from Black Bull will allow us to offer a race-wining and title-contending package to suitable drivers for an extremely cost-effective budget. With this in place, plus additional support from Lamborghini, we are also able to include additional pre-season testing so we are fully prepared to hit the ground running at the start of the 2024 season.”
